Cake:
3 eggs
2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp butter flavoring OR additional vanilla or almond extract
3 cups flour
4 1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
Frosting:
1/3 cup butter, melted
3 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp milk
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, milk, oil, extracts, and butter flavoring. Combine the flour, poppy seeds, baking powder, and salt; Add to the egg mixture and mix just until combined. Spread into a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 20 (more like 25-27) minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. In a mixing bowl combine frosting ingredients; beat until smooth. Frost bars. (My frosting this time was kinda thick so I frosted it while the cake was still warm so it's melt a little and spread out better.)
